Here you rent the complete 1st floor (eight rooms) of a 'Palazzo' in Montefoscoli, of which the origin dates from the Middle Ages. Own entrance and a splendid huge loggia with an unforgettable view.
Large hall, basic kitchen, two living rooms, three bed rooms, of which one with double bed, one with two single beds and one with one single bed (this is a bed that descends from the Empire time, therefore rather short). The large bathroom has a water closet, bidet, washing stand and bath (is shower at the same time). Via the kitchen and one of the living rooms you can enter the overwhelming loggia (covered terrace).
Andrea Vacca, a famous doctor from the Empire time (approx. 1800), has lived here and is the ancestor of the current proprietress. Montefoscoli has a museum dedicated to Andrea Vacca.
A beautiful walk leads you to the panoramically situated private swimming pool (that is shared with few other tourists) which can also be reached by car.
Given the furnishing of this house, it is not very suitable for families with little children.
Here you can deviate from the general renting period from Saturday to Saturday.

About Montefoscoli
The quiet village Montefoscoli (600 inhabitants) lies among the gently sloping hills of the Valdera, and has a great view towards Volterra and Pisa.
Small shops, two bars, postoffice.
The rural committee looks after guided tours in the 'Museo dellla Civiltà Contadina' and the 'Museo Andrea Vacca'. You can also visit the temple which Andrea Vacca, inhabitant of Montefoscoli and famous doctor in the Empire period, built in 1823, 1km outside of Montefoscoli
The Vespaclub has its seat here (in Pontedera, nearby, is the Vespa-museum)
For the rural festivals in May and in September everyone in the village is really committed. This is a village where tradition is important, and community sense a fact.
